About the Role
We’re looking for an Associate QA Engineer who is eager to begin their engineering career and contribute across both manual and automated testing. You will learn to build automated tests, manually validate complex user journeys, and help ensure the reliability of our large‑scale SaaS ecosystem.
This is a hands‑on role perfect for fresh graduates who are curious, motivated, and excited to learn automation, CI/CD practices, and modern testing techniques.
What You’ll Do
Manual & Exploratory Testing
- Execute manual test cases for UI, API, and end‑to‑end user workflows.
- Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and user-impacting defects.
- Document clear, reproducible bug reports and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Validate business requirements and user acceptance criteria through hands‑on testing.
Automation Engineering
- Learn to build automated tests for UI, API, and integration layers.
- Contribute to reusable automation scripts and frameworks maintained in GitHub.
- Assist in validating distributed systems and API interactions with guidance from senior engineers.
Quality Ownership
- Work closely with developers and product partners to understand story details and test requirements.
- Help integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
- Support both manual and automated regression cycles.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in code reviews, GitHub workflows, and team automation practices.
- Engage in team learning sessions and internal quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute ideas to improve testing approaches and overall product quality.
What You Bring
Technical Foundations
- Basic programming knowledge (JavaScript/TypeScript preferred, or similar).
- Understanding of software testing concepts across UI, API, and integration.
- Exposure to automation tools (WebdriverIO, Playwright, Selenium, etc.) through projects or coursework is a plus.
Manual Testing Skills
- Familiarity with writing test cases, test plans, and defect documentation.
- Understanding of functional testing, regression testing, and user‑flow validation from academic or internship experience.
Tooling & Engineering Basics
- Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, DOM).
- Awareness of CI/CD principles is beneficial.
Ways of Working
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to expand testing skills.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Exposure to SQL basics.
- Awareness of performance or accessibility testing concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure) through university or personal projects.
