Job Description

As a Foundry Quality Manager, you will serve as the technical authority responsible for ensuring quality compliance, managing systemic risks, and maintaining manufacturing stability across external semiconductor foundries. You will play a critical role in safeguarding product reliability, driving quality governance, and enabling the successful launch of new semiconductor technologies.

What You Will Do

  • Lead high-severity foundry quality escalations, driving root cause analysis (RCA) and ensuring sustainable corrective actions.

  • Govern Material Review Board (MRB) decisions, change management activities, and deviation approvals to maintain compliance and product quality.

  • Develop and implement programs that reduce repeat quality excursions and lower the cost of poor quality.

  • Act as the quality gatekeeper for new process developments, process transfers, and safe launch readiness during milestone review boards.

  • Analyze manufacturing data, yield performance, SPC metrics, and defect trends to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, R&D, Supply Chain, and Business Groups to drive alignment and decision-making.

  • Influence global foundry quality strategy and continuously improve quality governance frameworks across the organization.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.

  • Extensive experience in semiconductor front-end manufacturing, foundry operations, or supplier quality management.

  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, and AIAG methodologies.

  • Experience with APQP, milestone governance, process qualification, and safe launch execution.

  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to evaluate yield performance, SPC data, defect trends, and systemic manufacturing risks.

  • Proven ability to lead complex quality escalations and make sound decisions under uncertainty.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment without direct authority.

  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical issues into clear recommendations for executive-level decision-making.

  • A systems-thinking mindset with the capability to shape long-term quality and foundry strategies.
