Job Description
About the role:
- The Process Engineer supports manufacturing operations through the development, optimization, and implementation of Die Attach/Clip Attach (DACA) processes. This role enhances process capability, drives cost and quality improvements, supports new product introduction, and provides technical leadership to junior engineers and cross-functional teams.
What you will do:
- Develop new processes to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness for assigned stations.
- Qualify and release new equipment platforms or process technologies.
- Conduct machine and process capability studies; analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Implement process improvement strategies using DOE, SPC, and other statistical methods.
- Prioritize and execute process and quality improvement projects based on business needs.
- Update and maintain process documentation such as FMEA, OCAP, control plans, and work instructions.
- Support NPI activities, customer product qualifications, and sample builds.
- Prepare technical reports, evaluation summaries, and customer-required 8D reports.
- Support internal, customer, and certification audits as needed.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Equipment Engineering, Quality, NPI, and R&D teams to achieve project goals.
- Share best practices, breakthroughs, and lessons learned with cross-site engineering teams.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Process Engineering or NPI within semiconductor assembly.
- Experience in Die Attach/Clip Attach; exposure to Solder Dispense, Solder Print, and Reflow is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and statistical tools (SAS JMP, Minitab).
- Strong knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, DFM, and structured problem-solving.
- Understanding of basic project management principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
