As a prep cook, you are responsible for preparing food in accordance with club recipes and standards and maintaining the day-to-day food production in your specific area while ensuring a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment. Our kitchens are humming and plating up fresh, artful dishes at each venue. You will enjoy being part of this high quality back-of-house act that is highly valued!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning vegetables, fruits, meats, and other food items.
Follow standardized recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency in food quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock and adherence to food safety standards.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation of food orders.
Assist in basic cooking tasks, such as sautéing, grilling, and baking, as directed by the chef or sous chef.
Adhere to all sanitation and food safety regulations, including proper handling of raw ingredients and safe cooking temperatures.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to management.
Support kitchen staff during busy periods by taking on additional tasks as needed.
