Entry-Level Accounts Payable Associate

We are a family-owned telecommunications company seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounts Payable Associate. The position involves assisting with day-to-day accounts payable functions and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with reviewing and processing vendor invoices for telecom services, equipment, and utilities
• Verify invoices against purchase details and ensure they are assigned to the correct accounts
• Help identify and report discrepancies or billing issues for further review
• Support reconciliation of vendor statements to ensure all invoices are received and recorded
• Scan, organize, and maintain electronic and physical records of invoices and supporting documents
• Answer incoming calls and assist vendors or route inquiries to the appropriate team member
• Assist with setting up new vendors and updating account information as needed
• Support preparation of payments, including checks and ACH transactions, under supervision
• Follow up with vendors for missing invoices or documentation
• Maintain organized records in accordance with company procedures and deadlines
• Assist with recurring billing processes for monthly and annual services

• Basic understanding of accounting principles (coursework or prior experience is a plus)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience with QuickBooks or similar software is helpful but not required
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
