As a Lead Buyer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we source, distribute and manage our motor supply network—spanning automotive parts, repair services, logistics, and end-to-end supplier performance. Working at the heart of our supply chain, you’ll balance commercial rigour with strong relationships, helping ensure repairs are completed efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard. This is a role for someone who enjoys negotiating, analysing, and improving how things work, while being part of a team that believes collaboration and fairness lead to better results. This is a permanent full-time role based in multiple locations across Aotearoa New Zealand.
Ngā Mahi Hei Whakatutuki Māu | What You'll Do
• Negotiate commercial, pricing, rebate and service agreements to deliver strong cost outcomes and reliable service across motor parts and repair services.
• Build and manage trusted supplier relationships, setting clear performance expectations around quality, pricing, service and sustainability.
• Develop sourcing strategies by vehicle make and part condition, using data and market insights to maximise value from scale.
• Analyse spend, pricing benchmarks and supplier risk to identify cost efficiencies, resilience gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Lead panel reviews, competitive sourcing activities and ongoing contract management for approved and preferred suppliers.
• Use parts procurement platforms to track pricing, rebates and service levels, supporting accurate reporting and partner decisionmaking.

• Experience in automotive parts procurement, ideally within the New Zealand repair, dealer or dismantler environment.
• Confidence negotiating commercial agreements and managing supplier contracts to achieve strong outcomes.
• A solid understanding of pricing analysis, supplier quality assessment and performance management.
• Strong relationshipbuilding skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders across different teams.
• Analytical thinking with high attention to detail and comfort working with data and procurement tools.
• A practical, ethical approach with a strong commitment to compliance, safety and doing the right thing.
