Corporate Property Underwriter
Job Description

In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the performance and growth of the Corporate Property portfolio. You will apply strong commercial judgment, technical underwriting expertise, and market insight to deliver sustainable outcomes aligned with underwriting strategy and risk appetite. The role requires a strong market presence, collaboration across underwriting and broker teams, and a commitment to developing capability while supporting long‑term customer and broker relationships. This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney).
What You'll Do
• Underwrite and price large, complex Corporate and ISR property risks within delegated authority
• Manage broker and key customer relationships to support profitable growth and retention
• Develop tailored underwriting solutions that meet customer needs and portfolio objectives
• Monitor and support portfolio performance through effective risk selection and pricing discipline
• Collaborate with broker relationship and underwriting teams to deliver strong business outcomes
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced underwriters
What You'll Bring
• Significant experience underwriting Property risks within the ISR and/or Corporate intermediated market
• Proven capability managing large and complex broker portfolios, building strong, trusted relationships
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes
• Strong analytical capability with sound judgment in risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management
• Sound understanding of underwriting guidelines, governance frameworks, and legal and regulatory requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear, effective engagement with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders
