ABOUT THE ROLE:
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be part of the Global Connectivity Team responsible for planning, maintaining, enhancing, and ensuring the availability of network-related services that support business operations. You will oversee IT network infrastructure functions and play a key role in maintaining a secure, reliable, and high-performing network environment across the site. The role includes network implementation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of networking solutions to support Nexperia's operational requirements.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Ensure 24/7 network availability across the entire ATCB campus
- Plan, implement, and support network and computing infrastructure
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network services, equipment, and devices
- Analyze and resolve connectivity issues involving workstations, industrial PCs, and network devices
- Manage network equipment including Core Switches, Nexus Switches, PoE devices, wireless infrastructure, and firewalls
- Monitor network performance and implement performance optimization initiatives
- Apply and maintain change management processes for production network equipment
- Coordinate with external vendors, service providers, and customers for issue resolution
- Manage network assets, including move, add, change, and delete activities
- Design, implement, and support network expansions and lifecycle renewals
- Collaborate with Network Architects to optimize network performance and reliability
- Ensure network security by establishing, enforcing, and monitoring access policies
- Support structured cabling projects and infrastructure requirements as needed
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3–5 years of IT networking experience in a multinational or semiconductor environment
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification or higher
- Strong experience supporting Cisco networking platforms
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and protocols
- Knowledge of routing protocols, IP addressing, DHCP, NTP, IP Multicast, Access Control Lists (ACLs), VLANs, trunking, and link aggregation
- Experience managing Cisco networks and firewall solutions
- Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools
- Knowledge of F5 Load Balancer administration is an advantage
- Experience supporting structured cabling projects
- Understanding of IT Service Management processes and ServiceNow
- ITIL training or knowledge of ITIL best practices is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other productivity tools
- Experience with network monitoring tools such as Observium, Wireshark, MRTG, SolarWinds, or similar solutions
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders
