Laser Operator
The laser machine operator position safely performs laser cutting for a variety of organizational manufacturing needs. The operator would need experience with CNC operation.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform typical laser cutting operations.
- Select proper cutting programs, and proper fixtures.
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
- Perform prescribed maintenance as required.
- Perform all dimensional inspections.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- May work at different workstations as production needs require.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate the laser machine.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow product plans.
- Basic computer and math skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically able to operate the laser.
- Prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time as well as pull 150 pound sheets.

Starting Salary: $20 - $24/hour or higher depending on experience.
