The Food Service Lead Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food for all food service areas, including patient meals, catering, and retail operations, while maintaining safe and sanitary standards. This role supports the Culinary Supervisor and department manager by coordinating the activities of cooks and food service staff.In addition, the Lead Cook assists with retail menu planning, recipe development, and catered event coordination, while also providing coaching and training to Food Service Cooks.
The starting hourly rate for this position is $24.18 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience1. Associate’s Degree or Certification in a related field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience as a cook in a large scale food service operation; or
2. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time experience as a cook in a large scale food service operation.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
