Job Description

It’s all about people
We put people at the centre of everything we do. Being curious about what the people around us need and want is key to creating safe, personalised and sustainable mobility solutions. If you believe in the power of people and share our respect for human-centric innovation, you'll thrive at Volvo Cars. We are people who care about other people. With us, you’ll be surrounded by brilliant, curious colleagues all committed to making a difference.

Your impact

As Business & Cost Controller, you play a central role in steering performance and supporting strategic decisions across the after-sales business and SG&A domains. You combine financial insight, business acumen and a hands-on mindset to translate figures into clear recommendations, improve processes and help drive sustainable growth. In this visible role, you work closely with stakeholders across the organization and act as a trusted partner to management.

What you’ll do
-    Lead budgeting and monthly forecasting for the aftersales business, including parts, accessories, subscription services and SG&A expenses.
-    Monitor business performance, analyse trends and variances, and turn data into actionable insights for management and budget owners.
-    Act as a strong business partner by challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities and supporting continuous improvement across processes and performance.
-    Build and assess business cases for commercial initiatives, marketing investments and other strategic projects, including support for CAPEX and investment requests.
-    Support month-end and year-end closing activities and deliver accurate reporting, variance analyses and updated forecasts.
-    Contribute to the further digitalisation of finance processes, with a focus on efficiency, data quality and the transition towards more digital and AI-supported ways of working.
-    Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the business and report directly to the CFO.

Who you are

-    You hold a Master’s degree in Applied Economics, Business Engineering or a similar field.
-    You bring at least 10 years of relevant experience in finance, ideally in a controlling environment.
-    You combine strong analytical and financial modelling skills with advanced Excel expertise.
-    You are familiar with ERP and consolidation tools such as SAP, OneStream or Oracle Hyperion.
-    You communicate with confidence, build constructive relationships easily and know how to challenge stakeholders in a positive way.
-    You are proactive, structured and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and a drive for high-quality results.
-    You enjoy working in a dynamic environment and thrive in a role that combines analysis, business partnering and continuous improvement.
-    You are fluent in English and have native-level proficiency in Dutch or French, with a good command of the other national language.

Why join us

This is an opportunity to take on a broad and visible finance role with real business impact. You will work at the heart of decision-making, partner with senior stakeholders, contribute to key business initiatives and help shape the future of finance through process optimisation and digital transformation.
