• Assisting clients to achieve maximum self-reliance.
• Recognizing emergencies and appropriate response in an emergency.
• Nutrition, fluid intake and meal preparation.
• Bathing and personal care techniques.
• Maintenance of skin integrity.
• Infection control.
• Transfers, ambulation, positioning and passive exercise.
• Assists with toileting of residents/patients.
• Procedures for maintaining a clean, safe and healthful environment.
• Reporting changes in client’s condition to appropriate supervisor.
• Emergency measures procedures.
• Provides assistance with self-administered medications.
• Documentation on appropriate records.
• Attends in-service as required by state and federal regulations.
• Client's rights including ethics and confidentiality of care.

• High School Diploma preferred or the equivalent required.
• Preferably at least one (1) year experience as a Home Health Aide or Nursing Assistant in a hospital, nursing home or home health agency.
• Reliable transportation required for an extensive geographic area. Ability to provide valid and current auto liability insurance if applicable.
