Back to jobsHigh school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
2–3+ years of laboratory animal husbandry or vivarium experience required
Demonstrated ability to recognize and report abnormal animal behavior or clinical signs
Experience maintaining accurate records and following SOPs
Familiarity with vivarium operations, sanitation practices, and cage wash processes
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Knowledge of and adherence to applicable animal welfare regulations and guidelines
Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) certification required; Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) certification preferred or required within a defined period after hire
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding work, including prolonged standing and repetitive tasks
Strong teamwork, organizational skills, and personal accountability
Availability and willingness to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule
