The HKUST MBA Office is looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Program Team. This role is vital for enhancing the student experience while delivering essential administrative and logistical support.
This is a student-facing role that involves daily interaction with students, hands-on operations, and event planning. The ideal candidate will have a client-focused mindset and excellent customer service skills, along with a friendly and approachable demeanor. They should enjoy problem-solving and be adept at supporting both students and colleagues in a dynamic, fast-paced academic environment.
Project Planning and Administration
Plan and organize program events and activities (orientations, workshops, student-led initiatives, networking sessions).
Drive new projects or initiatives to enhance student support and program delivery.
Manage logistics, procurement, and budget tracking for related activities.
Provide assistance for special projects or tasks assigned.
Student Engagement and Affairs
Serve as the main contact for assigned MBA cohorts.
Build positive, professional relationships with students; handle inquiries and provide guidance in accordance with university policies.
Manage routine administrative tasks and documentation related to student affairs.
Course Support
Assist with course preparation and delivery, including venue booking and copyright clearance.
Prepare and maintain student profiles and related documentation.
Online Courses and Initiatives Support
Work closely with the internal team and external vendors to prepare and develop materials for online courses such as shooting with the faculty, and other learning initiatives to enhance the overall student experience.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, education, communications, or related discipline.
At least 5 years of post-qualification work experience is required for the Assistant Manager role. Relevant administrative, operations, or event coordination experience will be an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with databases is advantageous.
Comfortable with online collaboration tools (Teams, Zoom, etc.).
Strong English and Chinese (Cantonese) communication, both written and verbal.
A good team player with a service-oriented mindset and a strong sense of responsibility
Working outside normal office hours and weekends/weekday evenings to support events and courses will be required from time to time.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of the contract.
