The Field Application Engineer (FAE) West purpose is to provide application support and technical solutions for Key Account customers, Moxa Channel Partners and strategic opportunities. Establish valued relationships with Key Account customers and provide project consultation in both the pre-sale and post-sale stages. Supports product technical & testing issues and problem solving requests from KA customers. Provide internal/external technical training support.
 
Moxa’s goal is to offer best in class consulting and technical support to Key Account customers/channel partners and establish a win-win relationship based on mutual trust and technical expertise, which will result in higher design-win level with Key Account and strategic opportunities.
 
This position is out of Moxa’s Brea office.
· Foster a win-win relationship with assigned key accounts, channel partners and engineering companies/consultants to create a climate of trust and mutual respect based on technical expertise and high level of service and customer focus, which should result in getting a higher level of design wins.
· Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to penetrate nominated key accounts, support Regional Sales Manager to answer requests for proposals.
· Provide suggestions based on Voice of Customer to Product Marketing Managers and Strategic Business Units to guide product road maps to develop these accounts.
· Provide technical consulting services to propose customer solutions based on Moxa’s product portfolio. This includes project management of product customizations and full custom designs as well as influencing roadmaps through suggestions to Product Marketing Managers and Strategic Business Units.
· Develop and conduct product and application presentations, technical seminars and technical training sessions for key accounts and channel partners. Travel and be on customer site when needed.
· Be knowledgeable and proactive about communicating observations about new markets and products, competitive information and technology trends to Regional Sales Manager’s, Product Marketing Managers and Strategic Business Units.
· Establish good relationships with Moxa internal customers (i.e. Regional/District Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, Regional Sales Engineers, Product Marketing Managers, and Technical Support Engineers) as well as Channel Partners & Key Accounts.
· Provide support for customer product and systems testing by assisting customers to properly install, configure, test and troubleshoot Moxa products. Coordinate Factory Assurance Testing (FAT) with Key Accounts.
· Submit Application Notes with success story and/or white paper for enhancing brand image and real application usage.
· Support Field Application Engineering, Product Marketing Department and Channel Partners at corporate events (i.e. MATC - Moxa Application Training Certification and MTSC - Moxa Technical Support Certification) and trade shows.
Other duties may be assigned by manager
  • Strong project management and escalation management skills.
  • Autonomous learner with high motivation to independently support Moxa’s Key Accounts & Channel Partners.
  • Highly effective communication skills that enables regular interactions with Product Marketing/Sales management, R&D, and other relevant teams regarding project status, technical issues, and customer feedback.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
  • Professional Certificates/Licenses: Network Certification award/license such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, or CCIE is preferred.
  • Able to work under pressure and tight timeline while maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without Visa sponsorship
  • Domestic and international travel will be required, will equate to 25% - 35%
