Volunteer - Meal Service

Purpose:

Assist in preparing and serving meals to shelter residents in a respectful, safe, and sanitary manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and clean the dining area before and after meals
• Assist kitchen staff with food prep and portioning
• Serve meals to residents with care and dignity
• Ensure proper food handling and hygiene standards
• Dispose of waste and help with dishwashing as needed

Qualifications:

• Friendly, dependable, and able to follow directions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Food handling experience preferred (not required)
