Job Description
Responsibilities: -Lead the technical progression of IMCD China’s entire B PC, Home Care and I I ingredient range. Have a strong understanding of the full portfolio to deliver total formulation solutions, demo preparation, sampling, etc. -Undertake application work across all B PC, Home Care and I I segments. -Set up and run an application laboratory under guidance of group technical colleagues. -Build, manage and inspire the local technical team; foster strong team cohesion and a high-performance culture. -Work closely with the commercial team to prioritize projects and undertake customer visits. -Serve as the primary technical liaison and steward for partners in the China market, while maintaining close communication with the global technical community to relay local needs and align with worldwide developments. -Assume accountability for driving agreed technologies/products to achieve targeted market penetration in new-development projects. -Undertake the technical-support function: provide formulation advice, deliver product knowledge and associated support, interact with suppliers’ technical teams, conduct key-project reporting, and drive project development in collaboration with customers. Requirements: -Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry,or related field; Master’s preferred. -Minimum 10 years of R D or technical-application experience in B PC,; at least 3 years in a people-management role. -Expert knowledge of surfactants, rheology modifiers, preservatives, biocides, fragrances, enzymes, polymers and other performance additives used in B PC, Home Care and I I. -Familiarity with the personal care cosmetic ingredients market, understanding industry trends and competitive landscape. -Ability to handle pressure, inspire and develop one’s own technical team while effectively collaborating across departments to build high-trust, result-driven teamwork. -Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Chinese, capable of handling international business communications.
