Manager - District Trucking

Key Duties:   Supervises driver dispatch to ensure the needs of our customers are met on time, courteously and safely; Visits with and supervise drivers at shift changes and at various stations in the field; Attends and supports safety meetings; Instills a proactive safety philosophy among drivers and others in the department; Works with marketing department personnel to ensure that high-quality, safe and timely trucking transportation service is extended to our customers; Supervises District Clerk to assure all invoices are coded, driver tickets are coded and input & other administrative duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner.   Required Skills, Experience, and Education:   High school diploma or GED; Minimum of 5 years’ trucking experience; Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience; Must be familiar with DOT regulations & requirements as they relate to trucking operations; Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Must be a self-starter and able to lead a team of field personnel to assure high-quality service to producers and operators; Must possess a valid driver’s license with good driving record.
