Senior Manager, Information Technology (Infrastructure)
Job Description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Manage scalable private cloud infrastructure alongside robust enterprise networking (e.g. LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls) and general office IT environments
Strategically implement and oversee cybersecurity measures, encompassing access management, continuous threat monitoring, and compliance with relevant policies
Establish reliable monitoring, patching, incident response, and disaster recovery mechanisms for all mission-critical systems
Manage external vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Effectively lead, recruit, and upskill both the internal infrastructure and end-user support teams, fostering a high-performance culture dedicated to technical excellence and smooth daily operations
Requirements:
Degree holder in Computer Science or related disciplines. Holder of a master’s degree will have an advantage
Possession of professional certificates such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA/CCNP, VCP and ITIL etc. is preferred
At least 10 years of relevant work experience, with at least 4 years at a managerial role in infrastructure field
Solid experience and expertise in:
i) Private cloud operations e.g. OpenStack, VMware, Hyper-V etc.
ii) Storage e.g. SAN/NAS
iii) Enterprise networking operations e.g. routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, load balancers, VPN etc. and
iv) Cybersecurity e.g. firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, IAM, compliance frameworks (such as ISO 27001, NIST)Proven track record of leading an end-user support team and effectively managing external vendors
Previous experience supporting government clients, statutory bodies, or overseeing their vendors will have an advantage
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including both Cantonese and Putonghua)
Candidates with less experience will also be considered for the position of Manager or Assistant Manager
