About the role
You will be part of Fuller Technologies Automation Engineering group - more specifically you will join our QCX Engineering team in Chennai. The team currently consists of three experienced and dedicated engineers, who deliver high quality engineering related to our QCX Robolab, QCX Autosampling and QCX BlendExpert products. You will be working closely with the entire global organization, to provide our customers with the best-in-class automation products, to help them on their sustainability transition.
Your responsibilities
End-to-End Project Ownership: Engineer laboratory automation projects from technical sales support and purchasing to software configuration and commissioning support.
Technical Design & Engineering: Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and SCADA/PLC configurations.
3D Modeling & Layouts: Create precise GA drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, coordinating closely with internal teams and end-users.
Systems Expertise: Drive the development of SCADA programming, MIMIC development, and PLC hardware configuration.
Standardization: Maintain and improve design standards, guide specifications, and control procedures to ensure Fuller Technologies quality is maintained.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and colleagues, ensuring seamless information exchange and error-free documentation.
Onsite tasks: Minor travel activity to domestic and international project sites for technical reviews and commissioning support.
What you bring
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical).
Professional Experience: Some years of relevant experience, ideally within the Cement industry.
Design Proficiency: Strong expertise in plant layout engineering and 2D/3D modeling using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with PLC/DCS programming (Siemens, Beckhoff) and industrial protocols (Modbus, Profinet, Ethernet, etc.) is a significant advantage.
Cultural Fluency: Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse global teams and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Resilience & Mindset: A self-motivated approach with the ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure and a willingness to provide (and receive) constructive feedback.
