I & E Technician

Job Highlights

• The position is in the industrial electrical and controls field 
• The pay is on a progressive scale with increases aligned with skills demonstrated
• Technicians perform work involving medium voltage power transmission
• Technicians routinely work on field instrumentation, and PLCs
• PC knowledge and experience with MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel) and e-mail systems such as Lotus Notes is necessary
• Primarily daylight work schedules with overtime opportunities and occasional weekend work
• Will work both individually and within teams
• Technicians are entrusted to quote and purchase their own replacement parts

Experience / Skills

• Education- High school education or equivalent
• Work Experience Five years of experience in industry
• Special Skills- medium voltage, field instrumentation, PLC knowledge
• Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs
• Ability to work within a computerized maintenance management system (SAP)
• Ability to perform effective preventive maintenance
• Ability to read and understand equipment specification sheets and drawings (loop sheets, one line diagrams, P&IDs)
• Technicians must show initiative and be skilled communicators
