The Principal Solutions Design Engineer is a hospitality technology expert and trusted advisor responsible for designing solutions that align customer business objectives with Aven Hospitality's products and platform capabilities. This role partners with Commercial, Customer Success, Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Solution Architecture teams to define requirements, develop solution recommendations, and guide strategic customer initiatives. The Senior Solutions Design Engineer combines deep industry expertise, technical knowledge, and business acumen to help customers achieve their desired business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, solution design, and customer consulting engagements.
• Design scalable solutions aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Partner across Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Security teams.
• Deliver workshops, demos, and solution recommendations.
• Support customer success throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Mentor team members and drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in SynXis CRS, hospitality technology, and distribution.
• Strong solution design and system integration knowledge.
• Excellent consultative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience leading workshops, customer engagements, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Consulting, or a related technical customer-facing role.
• 5+ years of hospitality, travel technology, or distribution experience.
• Experience delivering complex enterprise SaaS solutions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Up to 25% travel.
