Job Description
As the Coordinator, you will manage the physical lifecycle of book sets and the administrative systems that keep the program running. Program Logistics: Manage the Book Buzz calendar; schedule and fulfill requests from patrons and book clubs across Utah. Technical Processing: Receive and process all incoming book sets, ensuring items are shelf-ready and properly prepared for circulation. Public Relations: Act as the primary contact for Book Buzz. You will resolve patron issues, build professional relationships, and assist the Marketing and Outreach Manager with promoting program awareness. Administrative Support: Maintain detailed record-keeping systems, generate statistical reports, and accurately update data within library databases. Additional Support Potential Duties In addition to the Book Buzz program, the Coordinator may be asked to assist with the library’s acquisitions process. These duties may include: Procurement: Creating purchase orders and ordering materials for the State Library collection. Financial Processing: Coding and submitting invoices for payment. Daily Operations: Shelving returned items and directing visitors or callers to the appropriate staff.
