Job Description
P/L management
- Be fully accountable to manage the branch budget by ensuring revenues and expenses meet or exceed goals
Sales management
- Lead all sales activities for the branch, sourcing new client relationships and expanding existing client relationships by bringing the full suite of products to the client
- Institute a sales and service culture with a sharp focus on providing clients with a best in class customer experience that leaves a mark of authenticity, warmth, competence, and simplicity
- Build and manage a robust branch loan and deposit sales pipeline. Review reporting and provide consistent feedback to all employees on performance against sales targets
- Develop a strong community network of local leaders and business to promote the branch's active involvement within the community
Leadership
- Mentor and coach staff through leadership by example of Popular’s Institutional values: Social Commitment, Customer, Integrity, Excellence, Innovation, Our People, Performance
- Effectively communicate branch goals to employees, and monitor goal attainment
- Ensure adherence to Popular’s brand standards around consistently delivering a best in class customer experience while following all guidelines and procedures
Operations
- Be responsible for overseeing and coordinating operations of a branch, including training and managing teams to adhere to operational procedures, recruitment, expense management, etc.
- Be fully accountable for branch assessment results, audits (internal or external), and BSA efforts. Act as primary escalation point for decisions and issues within branch
- Ensure operational risks are mitigated and branch and teams adhere to regulatory compliance policies and procedures
- Lead and develop Branch Supervisor to successfully oversee day to day branch operations with a strict focus on branch procedures and regulatory compliance
- Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
