CanCap Management Inc. (“CanCap”) is part of privately-owned Canadian national financial services company with multiple verticals across automotive, consumer, and merchant lending portfolios. We manage the entire lifecycle of the finance receivable from credit adjudication through to contract administration, customer service, default management and post charge-off recoveries. CanCap works with Automobile Dealer Partners to help clients finance the purchase of new and used vehicles.

The Remarketing Agent is responsible for coordinating the resale of off-lease, repossessed, or surplus vehicles through various remarketing channels including auctions, dealers, online platforms, or direct sales. The agent ensures timely, profitable disposal of vehicles while adhering to company policies and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the remarketing of off-lease, fleet, rental, or repossessed vehicles.
- Prepare vehicles for sale, including inspection coordination, reconditioning, and transportation.
- Partner with third-party vendors (e.g., auctions, transport companies, inspection services).
- Manage vehicle listings on digital remarketing platforms and ensure accurate vehicle descriptions and pricing.
- Monitor market trends and provide pricing recommendations based on vehicle condition, mileage, and market demand.
- Track and report on sales performance, inventory status, and vehicle depreciation.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation (title, registration, release of lien, etc.) is complete and compliant.
- Coordinate with finance and legal departments to clear titles and resolve any outstanding issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with auction houses, dealer networks, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Automotive Technology, or related field is a plus).
- 2+ years of experience in automotive remarketing, dealership operations, fleet management, or auto finance.
- Knowledge of vehicle valuation tools (e.g., Black Book, Auction Market Guides, etc).
- Familiarity with auction platforms and online sales tools.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory management systems.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with vehicle titles and legal documentation.
- Understanding of automotive wholesale markets and trends.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple vehicle sales at different stages.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Working Conditions:
- Office environment
- Occasional lifting (vehicle documents, small tools);
Additional Information
- This position currently works as hybrid. 50% in the office and 50% from home.
- Priority will be given to candidates with availability and flexibility to work shifts during days and afternoons. Shifts will run between 8am and 9pm EST.
- All interviews will be conducted virtually using Microsoft Teams.
