| Pay | ： | HK$19,611 to HK$41,484 (HGPS Point 4 to 17) per month including Monthly Allowance Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
Key Responsibilities
1. Assisting Dental Officers in the treatment of patients; sterilizing and supplying dental materials; and undertaking other related duties in the control dispensaries of the dental clinics or units.
2. Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Entry Requirements
1. Either one of the following qualifications or equivalent:
(a) Have obtained the Certificate of Proficiency in Dental Surgery Assistant or the Diploma in Dental Surgery Assisting issued by the Prince Philip Dental Hospital;
(b) Have passed the probationary examination for Dental Surgery Assistant run by Department of Health or the former Medical and Health Department.
2. Completed F.5 / S.5 with:
(a) 5 subjects passed in the HKCEE including English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language or equivalent;
OR
(b) 5 subjects in HKDSE attaining the level specified below:
(i) Level 2 in English Language, Chinese Language, and
(ii) Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ "Attained" in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects under this category)/Grade E in Other Language subjects
Or equivalent.
3. Be able to speak fluent Cantonese and English.
Preferable Attributes/Exposure
1. Experience in assisting in the specialist dental management on the following areas is preferred:
- Clinical Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery; and/or
- Hospital Dental Service and/or
- Orthodontics and Prosthodontics
