In this role you will support the delivery of high-quality risk and compliance insights that help IAG anticipate, prioritise and respond to emerging and future risks. The role contributes deep analytical expertise, forward-looking analysis and insight generation to inform decision making and risk mitigation activities.
The role plays an important part in strengthening IAG’s risk maturity by:
- Applying advanced analysis and insight techniques (including data, predictive and scenario-based analysis) to identify emerging risk, compliance and regulatory signals.
- Synthesising complex internal and external information into clear, actionable insights that support senior leaders and governance forums.
- Supporting proactive and coordinated responses to emerging regulatory, conduct, operational and strategic risks through high quality analysis, advice and collaboration across Risk, Compliance and the Business.
This a permanent full-time opportunity based in multiple locations across Australia
What You'll Do
- Conduct forward looking risk, compliance and regulatory analysis to identify emerging, systemic and thematic risks, contributing to enterprise-wide intelligence and insights.
- Develop and maintain predictive, scenario based and data driven analyses to surface emerging risks and compliance issues, control weaknesses and trends.
- Analyse and synthesise internal and external intelligence (including regulatory developments, incidents, issues, assurance outcomes and industry insights) to support holistic risk insights.
- Prepare clear, high-quality insights and materials (including briefing notes and papers) that translate complex risk and compliance information into concise, decision ready advice for senior stakeholders and forums.
- Support “ahead of the curve” insight generation by assessing the risk implications of regulatory change, business transformation, incidents, remediation activities and control uplift initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships across Risk, Compliance, Legal, Technology and the Business, contributing to a culture of curiosity, analytical rigour, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
- Demonstrated experience within business risk and compliance analysis
- Industry expertise in insurance, financial service, regulatory or risk consulting sectors
- Ability to condense complex data points, themes, and trends into simple and focused advice and recommendations.
- Experience in data analysis and reporting, ideally in a risk or compliance function.
- Broad understanding of core industry legislation.
- Highly organised, with high attention to detail and forward planning.
- Able to work autonomously across a variety of duties.
- Developed communication and influencing attributes / skills.
- Proven ability to observe regulatory change and translate into an internal environment.
