Job Description
This position reports to the Boning Room Manager, and will involve working Monday to Friday, and as well as, the required Saturday. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to JBS and where necessary participate in future training as provided by the company. Responsibilities: Ability to work within a team environment. Good communication skills on all levels is essential. Demonstrate integrity and professional attitude to work. Timely and accurate record keeping and information/paperwork flow. Adherence and commitment to availability as per scheduled working hours. Provide effective leadership and support to ensure attainment of departmental objectives. Departmental compliance with Quality Assurance and MSQA programs and processes. Departmental compliance with HR policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to adhere to Workplace Health and Safety and Quality Assurance procedures. Criteria: Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities Demonstrated commitment to meeting all requirements in relation to food safety, people safety and maintenance and enhancement of brand integrity. Sound technical knowledge of meat processing. The capability to build relationships and motivate a diverse team. Proven capacity to reduce absenteeism and turnover and to maintain productivity levels. Organisational and planning skills. Ability to maintain an appropriate skill mix to order to maximise productivity. Highly developed time management skills including prioritising and multi-tasking.
