Working Calendar: 450 hours
Compensation:
Living allowance: $5,397 annually with an additional $1,956.35 education award upon the completion of 450 hours of service. Child care subsidies and healthcare is not available for this option. Program dates as early as September 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
AmeriCorps members will mentor truant students, provide parent support, recruit community volunteers for their schools, and engage in community outreach to support children and families.
AmeriCorps members provide additional support to the Family Resource Youth Service Centers within JCPS schools.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and oral communication skills
3. Valid driver's license
4. Effective communication skills
