School Bus Attendants - for Extended School Year Programs

This is for an Extended School Year (ESY) program and is considered a BOCES ESY position. 

Applicants are encouraged to also apply to all other positions that they are qualified for such as those found on the Summer Work posting which are not BOCES ESY positions. 

LOCATION OF POSITION: Fairport NY 14450; Transportation Department

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: July 9, 2026 - August 19, 2026. Some positions start July 8. For all BOCES Programs Pre and Post summer trainings and set-up as directed.

SALARY RANGE: $16.00 per hour (or higher pending contract negotiations) or your 2026-27 rate in this title for current Monroe One Boces staff
Non-District Attendants, there is a Mandatory orientation/training

DUTIES:
1. Assist with loading and unloading of students.
2. Supervising the conduct of students.
3. Attend to special needs of students.
4. Knowledge of emergency procedures and evacuation plans.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must meet all Civil Service requirements for a School Bus Attendant: There are no minimum education or experience requirements

2. Completion of the BOCES bus attendant training program (SED), copies to be submitted.

3. Applicants must commit to the full 30-day Summer School Program.

4. Physically able to perform essential functions of the position (with or without reasonable accommodation).
