Toddler Teacher

Job description:

St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School is a Preschool-8th grade parochial school in Tacoma, WA. We are seeking an aide for our two year old preschool classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate must have or is currently working on their STARS certification (candidate will receive assistance with this if needed and will be reimbursed for the cost) with all things updated in MERIT by the first day of employment. The applicant must also demonstrate strengths in the following areas:

• Foster social, emotional and academic growth while working with 2 and 3 year olds
• Show genuine care and concern for children
• Preparing materials, projects, assignments
• Leading small groups
• Working with students who have a diverse set of needs and learning styles
• Helping to maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment
• Helping with Potty Training and change diapers as needed
• Assist and take direction from the lead teacher with the children and daily routines
• Fostering positive parent communication as necessary
• Promoting healthy peer interactions between children of all abilities
• Practicing Catholic preferred

• Other duties as assigned

   

Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.00 - 23.00 (based on education and experience)
