Job Description
Child Care Aide |
| Job Goal: To provide support for the school child care program. |
| Job Type: Classified | Job Class Code: 7322 |
| Position Type: Hourly | Reports to: Director School Day Care |
| Terms of Employment: Compensation will be determined by the Superintendent based on the number of hours worked and appropriate board-approved salary schedule. Seasonal contracts are for one year. |
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma.
- Two years' experience in child care is desired.
- Push, pull or lift 40 pounds; kneel and reach above your head.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assuring the safety and wellbeing of children under supervision.
- Participate in childcare.
- Which requires lifting, changing diapers
- Will assist children with daily routines and helping with their personal needs such as clothing, lunch, snack and cleanup routines.
- Assist in cleaning and straightening of the childcare room, to maintain the appearance of the room, including furniture and equipment.
- Implement instructional procedures and other instructions from the Director.
- Abide by all Oldham County Board of Education policies.
- Assists in the planning and supervision of activities that promote positive child development.
- Respond to student misbehavior as laid out by the director and report any unsafe behavior directly to the director.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of School Child Care or Principal.
