We’re looking for a Shipping Clerk to help ensure our products get out the door accurately and on time. This role sits at a critical point in our operation. You’re the final check before products reach the customer.
You’ll be responsible for preparing shipments, verifying accuracy, and making sure all documentation and packaging meet both company and customer expectations. You’ll work closely with production, quality, and customer service to keep things moving and solve issues quickly.
- Prepare and process outgoing shipments based on schedules and customer requirements
- Verify part numbers, quantities, and documentation before shipment
- Package products to ensure safe delivery
- Generate labels, packing slips, and shipping documents
- Coordinate carrier pickups and ensure shipments leave on time
- Review and follow customer-specific shipping instructions
- Identify and resolve discrepancies before shipments go out
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system
- Keep the shipping area organized and running efficiently
- Support inventory and material movement as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience
- Comfortable using computers and ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail, you catch errors before they leave the building
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple shipments at once
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Basic math skills for counting and verification
- Experience in manufacturing, shipping, or warehouse environments
- Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, or other carrier systems
- Understanding of shipping documents (packing slips, bills of lading)
- Forklift experience or certification
Typical working conditions at Kitron are indoors, safe, well lit, temperature controlled, low exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors, clean and sanitary conditions with average light industrial noise. Production areas have machinery with moving parts. Static dissipative smock, and shoes are required. Offices with locking doors, meeting rooms, and common printing areas are well lit, clean, low noise, and temperature controlled with no exposure to noxious fumes or offensive odors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout a manufacturing and shipping area for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25–50 pounds, with or without assistance
- Frequent handling of packages and materials of varying sizes
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, equipment, and varying temperatures
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
