Make a difference as a Motor Assessor, where you’ll apply your technical expertise to deliver fair, timely and high‑quality motor claim outcomes. In this hands‑on role, you’ll assess vehicle damage, determine appropriate repair methods and costs, and ensure outcomes align with regulatory requirements, industry standards and customer expectations. You’ll work closely with members, repairers and internal teams to achieve strong commercial and customer outcomes, while upholding brand integrity and safety standards.
This role sits within Motor Claims and Assessing and reports to the Team Manager, On‑Road Assessing or Central Assessing & Support. This is a permanent full-time role based at Eight Mile Plains in Meanjin (Brisbane).
What You'll Do
• Assess and quantify motor claims in a timely and cost‑effective manner, ensuring safe and compliant repair outcomes.
• Apply industry and manufacturer‑approved repair methods to determine fair and appropriate claim settlements.
• Build strong relationships with members, repairers, service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience, including supporting customers experiencing vulnerability with empathy and care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements and codes of practice.
• Identify risks, escalate issues where required, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support cost‑effective repair strategies while maintaining quality and safety standards.
What You'll Bring
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in motor assessing or a related trade environment.
• Trade qualifications and technical experience in panel beating, spray painting or motor mechanics.
• Strong knowledge of motor repair industry practices and assessment methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer focus.
• Proven problem‑solving, decision‑making and negotiation capability.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A valid Australian driver’s licence.
