School to Registered Apprenticeship Program (STRAP 1) - (Laclede)
Job Description
The School to Registered Apprenticeship Program (STRAP) is an innovative approach to education and training which allows qualified high school students to effectively bridge the gap between high school and the world of work by means of registered apprenticeship. STRAP is a program of the U.S. Department of Labor that allows students 16-17 years old to work in occupations that normally require a minimum age of 18. High school students who meet the requirements for entry into the Idaho Forest Group (IFG) apprenticeship program can be employed as a registered apprentice while in school.
