We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fifth Grade Teacher to join our vibrant, faith-filled learning community. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully teaching primary and/or intermediate-grade students and values collaboration with colleagues.

Position Summary
The Fifth Grade Teacher is responsible for providing a nurturing, faith-centered learning environment that supports the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of young learners. The teacher builds on the foundation for literacy, numeracy, and positive school habits while fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach core academic subjects and religion using engaging, structured instruction aligned with fifth grade curriculum standards
- Prepare students for increased academic expectations and independence
- Promote organization, time management, and accountability
- Encourage students' problem-solving, critical thinking, collaboration, inquiry-based learning and study skills
- Use assessment data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Use formative and summative assessment data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely grading and documentation
- Monitor and support overall student behavior and classroom culture
- Maintain an organized, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, instructional aids and administration
- Attend and supervise all days of the field trip
- Overall coordination and planning for the two overnights Pioneer Farms experience in May
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field
- WA state teaching certificate
- Practicing Catholic
- Is proficient with Microsoft Office programs and integrates technology into lessons
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, families, and parish community
- Strong verbal and written communication, classroom management and organizational skills
- Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and spiritual development of students

Salary:
The range for this position is $50,666-$80,000. This position is full-time. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
