
Counselor, St. Louise Bellevue
Job Description
Part-time School Counselor?needed for the 2026-27 school year at St. Louise Parish School in Bellevue to support our PS-8 students' social and emotional growth. This position can be 3-4 days per week, for 20 hours. The candidate must have a counseling license or certification and previous school experience, preferably at the elementary and middle school level.
- Counsels students in both individual and small-group settings to provide social and emotional learning, to assist with goal setting, and to facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, in line with Catholic faith and morals
- Assists with student mental health needs and aids teachers, students, and parents in seeking other community and professional resources
- Provides crisis response when students and parents need support in navigating emergency situations
- Supports teachers in the implementation of the SEL Friendzy curriculum
- Provides lessons on the Zones of Regulations
- Supports families by providing information, referrals, and by sharing community resources
- Collaborates with the student support team as applicable for students on support plans
- Supervises morning recess with other teachers while providing daily support and conflict resolution during grades K-5 recess (grades 6-8 when needed)
- Conducts observations of students' interactions in the classroom and playground setting
- Attends conferences when requested by the teacher and/or administration

Salary: Hourly rate: $50-75 Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.?
