Veteran Support Specialist — Las Vegas, NV | Full-Time | Non-Exempt
$17.02–$20.23/hour (commensurate with experience)

The Opportunity
As a Veteran Support Specialist, you’ll provide day-to-day support within our residential programs while building meaningful connections with veterans. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced supervisors and alongside case managers and clinical staff to help create a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
- Support Veterans Daily: Build rapport and maintain respectful, professional relationships with clients
- Create Structure & Stability: Help maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic community environment
- De-escalate & Problem Solve: Address conflicts and challenging behaviors with professionalism and care
- Support Life Skills Development: Assist with groups, activities, and one-on-one support focused on daily living skills
- Coordinate & Communicate: Work with case managers and team members to support client goals
- Maintain Documentation: Complete incident reports, logs, and client records accurately and timely
- Transport & Support Access: Assist clients with getting to appointments and accessing community resources
- Participate & Learn: Attend team meetings, trainings, and program activities to build your skillset
Programs You May Support
This role may support different programs based on need, including:
- Transitional Housing: Help veterans move from homelessness to stable housing
- Long-Term Supportive Housing: Support housing stability and independence
- Mental Health Programs: Assist in structured, recovery-focused environments
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of experience in social services, customer service, or working with people preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and data entry)
- Valid driver’s license required; must meet company insurance requirements and complete driver training
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied shifts as needed
