U.S.VETS—the nation’s largest nonprofit dedicated to preventing and ending veteran homelessness—is seeking a Workforce Development Coordinator to lead employment services and career readiness programming for veterans in Las Vegas.

This is an opportunity for a motivated leader who can support veterans facing barriers to employment while building strong partnerships with employers and community organizations.

The Opportunity

As the Workforce Development Coordinator, you will oversee the daily operations of the Workforce Development program and Career Center. You will supervise staff, provide career-focused case management, and create employment opportunities that help veterans move toward long-term self-sufficiency.

You’ll serve as both a leader and connector—guiding veterans through employment planning while strengthening relationships with employers and workforce partners throughout the community.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the Program: Oversee daily Workforce Development operations and supervise staff
  • Support Veterans: Provide career coaching and employment-focused case management
  • Develop Employment Plans: Help veterans identify career goals and pathways to employment
  • Build Employer Partnerships: Create and maintain relationships with employers, recruiters, and community organizations
  • Conduct Job Development: Identify opportunities through outreach, networking, and employer engagement
  • Facilitate Workshops: Lead job readiness trainings, job clubs, and workforce development activities
  • Match Talent to Opportunity: Connect veterans with employment opportunities and support job placement efforts
  • Track Progress & Outcomes: Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Analyze Workforce Trends: Utilize labor market information to support career planning and program development
  • Represent the Program: Deliver presentations and participate in workforce and community engagement events

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Social Services, or related field preferred
    or 4+ years of relevant experience in workforce development or employment services
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience in workforce development, career services, recruiting, or job placement
  • Strong understanding of labor market trends and employment resources
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data tracking systems
  • Valid driver’s license required and ability to meet insurance requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with veterans or individuals facing barriers to employment
  • Experience in employer outreach, recruiting, or business development
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor or workforce-funded programs preferred
