Senior Data Engineer, 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

• Experience in mentoring and leading other engineers 
• Experience with designing and creating data models.
• Ability to engage with stakeholder to gather user requirements.
• Ability to set clear achievable goals, priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to constructively challenge existing processes and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to consult and influence stakeholders.
• Strong communication, written and presentation skills.
• Proven problem-solving skillset with the ability to work individually as well as within a team environment.
• Proven experience in database platforms such as Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL, SAS
• ETL & Data Warehousing: Deep expertise in AbInitio, Teradata, SQL Server, and modern data warehousing concepts
• Programming & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Unix Shell scripting, PL/SQL, and orchestration tools like Airflow
• Experience with API’s, containerisation, automation, and CI/CD is highly advantageous.
