About the role:One of Southlake’s strategic initiatives include optimizing data utilization to maximize quality, outcomes and efficiency. As Ontario’s healthcare system continues its transformation towards flexible agile care, analytics and data integration will play an even more critically important role.
Reporting to the Team Lead of Integration Database Engineering and Application Services (IDEAS), the Report Writer will work within and across departments to deliver data reports, extractions, summaries and data integration of systems.
Using available technologies, the Report Writer will design, scope, analyze, develop, test, implement, document, support and maintain reports involving various database and application solutions. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including Decision Support, Business Intelligence, Leadership, Clinical and IT Teams in order to deliver the information required to help advance the organization’s clinical operations.
What you bring:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
• Experience with MEDITECH’s NPR Report Writer preferred
• Experience with MEDITICH’s MAT Report Designer preferred
• 2 years of experience with SQL programming, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance within MS SQL Server environment preferred
• Experience developing SQL Server Integration packages (SSIS) for data management of internal and external systems using SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) preferred
• Advanced understanding of database table structures.
• Advanced communication, organizational, project management, planning and process improvement skills required
• Knowledge of ITIL and change management concepts considered an asset
• General technical competencies including the ability to consistently type a minimum of 40 wpm required
• Provide technical consultation/representation to committees and working groups
• Design, implement, troubleshoot and maintain reports and automation
• Perform other duties consistent with the job classification as required
• Be available for after-hours support as required.
