The College of Pharmacy and Nutrition invites applications for a 0.4FTE Sessional Lecturer position to teach the following course during the 2025-2026 Fall Term: Course Number, Section, and Name: PHAR 324.3 Science of Pharmacotherapy 3: Toxicology Term and Course Dates: Fall Session (September 1 to December 30) CRN: 87765 Delivery Mode: This course will be offered as an In-person Lecture Course Schedule: Monday 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM, Thursday 1:00 PM to 2:20 PM Expected Enrollment Limit: 90 Qualifications: Pharmacy undergraduate degree with familiarity with current community pharmacy practice settings (required) Research experience in pharmaceutical sciences with focus on drug delivery (required) Current eligibility to work on the University of Saskatchewan campus Previous teaching experience in related pharmacy subjects (required) Ability to work on developing new materials and delivering them to students (required) Current graduate student status at the U of S (preferred) Familiarity with CANVAS learning management system (preferred) Only candidates who meet the above criteria will be contacted. Course Information: Students will build the links between foundational sciences and explain how basic principles can be used to improve clinical therapy. Students will compare advanced therapeutics to standard of care therapies, interpret basic toxicology problems in practice, drug development, and in medical research. Students will employ problem-solving skills with scientific principles, while taking patient concerns into consideration to find solutions to therapeutic problems. Students will make decisions related to drug therapy using foundational scientific knowledge. The 0.4FTE position will involve both course material re-design and delivery that constitutes 40% of course contents. The base compensation will be $3,196 in addition to $1,598 to compensate for course re-design.
