Our Avanade Southeast Asia Academies accelerate our growth by developing and acquiring talent with skills on the Microsoft platform. As cybersecurity becomes central to every digital transformation, we are building a pipeline of security-minded consultants who can help clients protect their most critical assets. During this 6-month internship, you’ll work closely with our Security Client Solution Leaders, gaining hands-on exposure to how Avanade helps clients secure their environments using the Microsoft security portfolio. You’ll develop foundational knowledge across Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Sentinel while contributing to real client engagements. As part of a team of security architects and consultants, you’ll support the delivery of solutions that protect organisations and enable business outcomes. Together we do what matters.
This opportunity is ideal for fresh graduates in 2026 or students in their final semester, graduating in 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Support client engagements by helping identify cybersecurity challenges and contributing to the development of security solution recommendations
Assist across project phases, from pre-sales research and proposal development through to delivery; including security assessments, architecture reviews, and solution configuration
Collaborate with security architects, delivery teams, and Microsoft sellers to ensure security is embedded across customer projects
Build practical knowledge of Microsoft security technologies, including M365 Defender, Entra ID, Purview, and Sentinel, through structured learning and hands-on lab work
Participate in client workshops, partner sessions, and internal enablement activities related to Zero Trust, threat protection, identity governance, and security operations

Skills and experiences
• A degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; double majors combining business and technology are highly preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with foundational IT concepts such as networking, cloud computing (Azure), operating systems, or scripting is a plus; prior coursework or certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SC-900, AZ-900) are valued but not required
• Passionate about cybersecurity, with a keen interest in one or more of the following areas:
Identity and Access Management (Entra ID)
Threat Protection and Extended Detection and Response (Microsoft Defender)
Data Security, Compliance, and AI Governance (Microsoft Purview)
Security Operations, SIEM, and SOAR (Microsoft Sentinel)
