About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Generative AI technologies to join our team at Marelli. The ideal candidate will lead our AI initiatives while managing cloud architecture across multiple platforms.

This strategic role requires someone who can drive the development and implementation of our proprietary AI tools, manage cloud infrastructure, and evangelize DevOps best practices throughout the organization.

The successful candidate will have a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a forward-thinking approach to emerging technologies in the automotive sector.

This position is based out of our office in Trnava, Slovakia.

Your Responsibilities will be:

Generative AI Leadership:

• Serve as Product Owner for our GenAI Services (internal and off the shelf), determining fit, defining roadmaps, promoting adoption & managing the product lifecycle.
• Develop learning content to support general education about the value of digital tools and digitalization, and support both effective use and greater adoption of deployed services.
• Lead Requirement Definition, design, implementation, and improvement of new AI solutions based to support business outcomes.
• Manage AI development teams for projects, and own end users technical support channels.
• Architect, provision, deploy and manage AI infrastructure across cloud platforms, optimizing for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Administer and maintain AI system infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Manage access controls and security permissions for AI platforms and tools
• Monitor resource utilization and implement cost optimization strategies for AI services
• Experiment with new AI / Gen AI solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem and other GenAI platforms
• Stay current with industry trends, communicate developments that may be of strategic importance to the organization.
• Monitor solution performance, generate and share reports on tool usage, effectiveness and productivity
• Oversee GitHub Copilot licensing and implementation 

Cloud Architecture:

• Design and implement secure, cost-effective cloud architectures across Azure and AWS environments
• Administer cloud resources across multiple platforms (AWS/Azure), including configuration management and resource optimization
• Implement and manage role-based access control and security governance
• Monitor cloud resource utilization and implement cost management strategies to optimize ROI
• Support divisions and vendors during application design phases, focusing on security and cost optimization
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to identify resources and foster technical/business stakeholder collaboration
• Implement Infrastructure as Code practices and manage cloud migration initiatives

Stakeholder Management:

• Build and maintain effective relationships with both technical and business stakeholders across the organization
• Translate complex technical concepts into business value propositions when communicating with non-technical stakeholders
• Facilitate discussions between technical teams and business units to align on priorities and solutions
• Proactively engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide regular updates on project status

 Communication:

• Present technical reports and performance metrics to non-technical audiences in clear, accessible language
• Create compelling visualizations and presentations that effectively communicate complex data and technical concepts
• Lead technical discussions and presentations with executive leadership
• Develop documentation and training materials that bridge the gap between technical implementation and business understanding

DevOps Excellence:

• Administer Azure DevOps platform, including user governance and project management
• Evangelize DevOps best practices and implement CI/CD pipelines with integrated security testing
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate DevOps methodologies into workflows

What Qualifications you will bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Extensive experience in cloud architecture with strong proficiency in Azure and AWS platforms
• Demonstrated experience with Generative AI technologies and implementation strategies
• Experience as a Product Owner managing technical product lifecycles
• Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell) and deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency with DevOps methodologies and Azure DevOps
• Strong communication and leadership skills, with ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in the automotive sector or manufacturing industries is highly desirable

• Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
• Experience with monitoring, analytics solutions, and microservices architecture
• Knowledge of data modeling and API definition tools
• Experience with electronic prototyping platforms and IoT implementations
