Join Wilhelmsen Global Business Services (GBS) as HR Technology Architect
Location: Norway (Lysaker) | Type: Full-time, Hybrid
Join Wilhelmsen Global Business Services (GBS) and play a key role in shaping how HR technology supports employees across a global organization.
We are looking for an HR Technology Architect to lead and evolve our global HR technology landscape, with Workday at its core. This role sits at the intersection of HR, technology, and employee experience, combining strategic direction with hands-on influence across platforms, processes, and people.
You will work closely with HR, IT, business leaders, and external partners to ensure our HR technologies are scalable, compliant, and genuinely valuable for employees and leaders worldwide.
What you will work on:
Own and evolve the global HR technology portfolio and architecture, with Workday as the central platform
Lead and support an international HR technology support team across Europe and Asia
Partner with HR process owners and business units to translate people strategy into effective technology solutions
Improve employee experience through smart use of HR systems, portals, automation, and digital tools
Manage HR technology vendors both operationally and strategically
Ensure compliance, security, and risk management across the HR technology landscape (e.g. GDPR, cyber security, ESG)
Support HR technology aspects of M&A and business growth initiatives
Contribute to roadmaps, prioritization, and continuous improvement initiatives
What will help you succeed in this role:
Solid experience working with global, cloud-based HR systems, with Workday experience as a key requirement
Experience bridging HR needs and technology capabilities — you understand both worlds
Good overview of HR technology trends and how digital solutions can improve people processes and employee experience
Experience leading or coordinating international teams or vendors
Ability to drive complex initiatives and projects in a structured and collaborative way
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across different seniority levels
Experience working in agile / Scrum-based environments
Who we think will thrive here:
You enjoy setting direction while working closely with others
You are curious, pragmatic, and comfortable navigating complexity
You take ownership, but don’t feel the need to do everything yourself
You value collaboration, trust, and clarity
You are confident communicating in English in a global setting
What it’s like to work with us:
At Wilhelmsen, we offer a collaborative and forward-looking work environment where technology is seen as a key enabler of people and business success. You’ll find strong leadership, flexibility, and a genuine focus on sustainable ways of working.
What we offer includes:
Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
Global exposure and occasional international travel
A varied and influential role with clear impact
Competitive pension and insurance schemes
Company cabins and international apartments
Sports club membership and cultural activities
Social events throughout the year
Work location: Lysaker, Norway
Application deadline: 31.05.2026
