Location: Piraeus | Type: Full-time

Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) is looking for a Technical Sales & Business Development Manager – Mooring to grow our mooring solutions business in Greece.

This is a customer-facing role for someone who enjoys combining commercial drive with technical understanding, building strong relationships with shipowners, operators, and technical managers, and turning customer needs into practical, value-adding solutions.

You don’t need to know everything about mooring products on day one — what matters is your ability to sell consultatively, engage confidently with technical stakeholders, and build product expertise over time.

What you will be doing:

  • Grow profitable sales across the mooring solutions portfolio in Greece and assigned Mediterranean countries

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through regular face-to-face meetings

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and priority target accounts

  • Act as a trusted technical sales partner, supporting customers with product understanding and solution selection

  • Manage opportunities, pipeline, and customer activity accurately in CRM

  • Collaborate closely with Product Management and internal stakeholders to share market insights and support portfolio development

  • Contribute to sales material development and represent WSS at customer meetings and industry events

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Experience in technical, solution-based, or consultative sales, preferably within the maritime industry

  • A good balance of commercial mindset and technical curiosity

  • Confidence engaging with customers on both commercial and operational topics

  • Ability to work independently, plan your activities, and manage your own pipeline

  • Experience negotiating with customers and progressing opportunities to close

  • Comfortable working with digital tools such as CRM systems, Excel, and MS Office

  • Good communication skills and a strong command of English (written and spoken)

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree, marine qualification, or equivalent experience

  • Relevant maritime or commercial experience can compensate for formal education

  • Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the Greek maritime market is an advantage
