Experience with functional safety application design and development under IEC EN 61508
Engineering degree, diploma, or similar
Baseline understanding of programming logic and how it controls mechatronic systems
In-depth understanding of standard and prototyping manufacturing processes including, casting, forging, welding, milling, lathing, cutting (various types), bending, 3D printing
In-depth understanding of Mechanical engineering principles
In-depth knowledge of integrating battery systems, electric drivetrains, power electronics, thermal management and other components to create a fully functional vehicle. Integration involves the physical placement and connection of components and ensuring compatibility, efficiency, safety and reliability across the entire system
Baseline knowledge of various communication protocols such as CAN and Ethernet
Baseline understanding of various types of sensors, actuators and their respective control requirements
Knowledge of, and experience with industry standards
Proficient in 3D modelling, CAD best practices, and large assembly management
