The human resources assistant will be responsible for assisting with recruitment, employee relations, training, and other HR-related tasks to enhance the church community.

1 year minimum

Anticipated Time Commitments:

1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: 2-4 hours a week; more during ministry Expo and Leadership Conference

2. Participating in meetings/training: as requested

Responsibilities/Duties:

1. Assist with recruitment processes including job postings, resume screening, and communication to ministry directors and designees.

2. Work closely with the Placement ministry to retrieve and communicate with interested volunteers to ensure they are guided through the proper application process. 

3. Maintain accurate employee records, including personnel files, benefits information, and attendance records.

4. Assist in the coordination of training and development programs for staff and volunteers.

5. Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations as requested.

6. Assist with performance management processes, including tracking performance evaluations and providing administrative support as needed.

7. Collaborate with other ministries to ensure HR policies and procedures are communicated and implemented effectively.

8. Provide general administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling meetings, maintaining calendars, and handling correspondence.
