The new member care assimilation team member is responsible for providing helpful information, and supporting all efforts to help new church members feel welcomed and bonding to the church through relationships.

Anticipated Time Commitments:
1. Doing ministry/preparing for ministry: two to four hours a week
2. Participating in meetings/training: as requested
Responsibilities/Duties:
1. Greet and welcome new members after worship services.
2. Gather new member information and conduct follow-up phone calls.
3. Support with enrollment into new members classes
4. Make the new member aware of fellowship opportunities and encourage the new member to find
service opportunities that use his or her talents.
5. Be knowledgeable of church ministries to answer new members’ questions regarding ministry opportunities available.
6. Introduce new members to current members – especially those who may have common interests/family life/ages etc.
7. Make a point to greet new members every week for at least the first six weeks.
8. Attend all meetings scheduled by the Ministry Director
