Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer with data analysis and scripting skills to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining power data pipelines, and bringing actionable insights through data processing and analysis, and hands-on testing in lab. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems and its electrical characteristics.
What You Will Do:
· Development of system power characterization test plans for battery runtime validation
· Power Consumption measurement of various device use cases done in on-site lab environment
· Monitoring test results, analyze data and correlate measurements against estimates
· Debugging power regressions
· Create and maintain web-based dashboards to track build to build power measurements.
· Support the design scripts to automate lab equipment for remote testing for long duration tests (hours to weeks). Also, develop test scripts for device power automation and assist with dashboard data reporting
· Creating scripts to analyze raw measurements and logs from the DUTs
· Hands-on hardware bench testing
· Hands-on full Form-Factor testing within lab conditions.
What You Will Bring:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
· 3+ years of experience in Power consumption measurement of various device use cases done in on-site lab environments including oscilloscopes, power supplies, power measurement equipments, DMMs.
· Proven experience writing and maintaining softwares for data processing and analysis
· Experience working with consumer electronics hardware research and development in a lab environment
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to spearhead troubleshooting efforts via ad-hoc data analysis.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Highly organized, able to prioritize and balance multiple work streams to tight deadlines.
· Ability to network, build relationships and drive effective decision-making across multiple functions and levels within the organization.
· Experience with SQL Databases, DAG pipelines, and data pre-processing.
Work Experience
Preferred Qualifications:
· Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
· Experience with data engineering frameworks such as Apache Hive, Apache Airflow, , Spark SQL , or AWS S3 and EC2
· Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
· Experience with cloud-based data platforms
· Certification in data engineering or a related field
Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
This role is considered an on-site position located in Sunnyvale, CA
You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
